My life “before” I met Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior:

I originally gave my life to Christ in 1978, while fleeing from the police in New York City.  I served Him for almost a year.  By 1979 I was totally backslidden.  These years up to 1983 were my hell on earth.  I had become a drug trafficker and a heavy cocaine user, over $300 a day.  I had become very aggressive and violent.  The drugs had driven me insane.  I lost my marriage and had become a living time bomb.  I was dangerous to myself and others.

Describe the event of how I got saved:

In February 1983 I was sick and tired of my self destructive ways.  I decided to end my life; a 25 automatic would do it right.  I remembered my conversion in 1978 and was afraid of hell.  I decided I needed a psychiatrist.  I heard a voice which said, “No, who you need is Me!”  I said “Who are you?”  the voice responded, “Jesus, come back to me.”  I fell to my knees and for the next three hours, I repented and forgave.  I got up a brand new man.  No AA, NA, psycho-therapy – free, free!  He delivered me that night in New York City.

The significant things God is doing in my life today:

God has given us a powerful ministry of deliverance, healing and empowerment.  We have become Mother Church pastors, evangelists, authors, and televangelists.  I have preached the gospel in over 25 nations of the world.  God is currently stirring my wife and I to missions, short and possibly long term.  God is using us today to birth unity amongst pastors and denominations.

As the largest church in our city we are both a source of envy to some and inspiration to others.  However, none of this moves us like the tears of the newly saved believers brought out of darkness and into the light.

This is the most exciting thing happening in my life today.  God is still using us to bring salvation to others.  There is no greater privilege.  Amen!
